2015-Present
Founded DanaEvents to provide event planning and management services to serve cultural and tourism institutions.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
MUSEUM ASSOCIATION OF NEW YORK

2013-2015
Planned and managed the Museum Association of New York annual Conference and Museum Institute at Sagamore. Identified and recruited speakers, developed entire program and schedule. Organized fundraising dinners. Identified sponsors and exhibitors. More than three times the sponsorship over previous year. Broke all
attendance records.

Organized 10 regional meet-ups annually to engage membership across the state. In 2014, over 50% of total association membership attended Regional Meet-Ups. 

Implemented development initiatives including Membership drive, Annual Appeal, grants applications and sponsorships. Doubled association membership in 2015.

Supported development of New York State Museum Education Act.

ADJUNCT PROFESSOR

2010-Present
Developed new curriculum for Public Learning in Museums to provide students with balance of educational theory and experiential learning. 

Created innovative Game Project that challenged students to translate exhibit and/or museum content into a compelling, multi-player game.

Developed and team-taught new business etiquette seminar to improve student professional practices.

Responsible for care and documentation of permanent collection. Managed all photography rights and reproductions requests. Developed collections management policies and procedures and implemented new collections management system (TMS and eMuseum).

Managed temporary exhibition installations, annual Senior Art Show and ongoing gallery maintenance. 

Supervised diverse team of support staff, from professional preparators to student guards and interns. Closely collaborated with faculty for appropriate use of the collection.

Created temporary storage facility and rehoused entire collection during construction of the new Wellin Museum of Art.

MADISON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

2005-2007
Responsible for care and documentation of permanent collection, including provenance, inventory, acquisitions and gifts. Processed all loan requests.

Developed and installed exhibitions, planned special events, created new educational programming. Supported related fundraising and grants. Supervised volunteers and interns. 

Designed and edited museum publications. Responsible for communications and community relations.
